Wee and Pre-Dance

Does your little princess dance everywhere she goes? Does your little knight love to explore movement?In these classes your child will enjoy hearing their favorite Bible stories in preparation for a time of worship, all while effortlessly discovering the basic fundamentals of ballet.
Wee Ballet & Tap

Introduced to the concept of expressing themselves through movement, students use props such as scarves, ribbons, feathers, etc. to increase their coordination and motor skills. Basic movements such as hopping, skipping, and jumping are explored, in addition to being introduced to simple fundamentals of classical ballet technique such as turn-out and the positions of the feet. Basic musicality and rhythm are introduced, as well as encouraging social skills, listening skills, concentration, and memory. In December and May, students taking Wee Ballet classes are given the opportunity to perform in their own shows.

Time to get those little ones tapping away! This class introduces young children to the basics of tap in a fun and exciting way.

Ages 3-4. One class per week to perform.
Attire:
Girls: pale blue leotard and pink tights purchased at Dramatic Truth, pink leather ballet shoes purchased at any dance store. Tap shoes

Boys: plain white tee-shirt, black form fitting shorts, white socks, white ballet shoes
Pre-Ballet & Tap
​
Students continue to explore basic movement, increase their classical ballet vocabulary and learn gallops, polka steps, waltz steps, and more. Poise, carriage, and posture is emphasized. Additionally, these young dancers are able to further explore the connection of their Christian Faith and worship with dance, as well as expressing themselves through movement. Pre-Ballet students also participate in December and May shows.

Wee and Pre-Breaking
Do you have a little mover, this is the perfect class for them! In this class we incorporate bible stories and the fundamentals of breaking in fun and exciting ways. Students learn basic top rock, floor work, drops, power moves and tumbling. They also learn the basics of rhythm and the importance of cheering on your fellow classmates. Mostly importantly, they learn that dance is a wonderful gift that God gave us to connect with Him and bless others!

Ages: 3-6 Boys and Girls. One class per week to perform.

Attire: Easy clothes to dance in and please bring WATERBOTTLE
